BANDUNG, (PR) .- PT Dirgantara Indonesia or PT DI again delivered an NC212i aircraft to the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (MOAC) of Thailand, Sunday, November 10, 2019.
The delivery of the aircraft which coincided with the commemoration of Pahlawam Day was carried out at the PT DI Hangar Delivery Center, Jalan Pajajaran Number 154, Bandung City to Nakhon Sawan Air Base, Muang, Nakhon Sawan, Thailand. The plane is planned to arrive on November 11, 2019.
NC212i aircraft that were sent complete the NC212i aircraft procurement contract 2 units between PT DI with A.I.C.E. Enterprises (Thai) Co., Ltd. with end user Department of the Rain Making and Agricultural Aviation, MOAC Thailand.
The first NC212i aircraft had undergone the ferry flight process on October 22, 2019. The second NC212i ferry flight was delivered one month earlier than scheduled according to the contract, December 2019.
The Head of PT DI Iwan Krisnanto, Director of Corporate Planning and Program Management, reviewed the preparation and release of the NC212i ferry flight.
Captain Zulda Hendra as Pilot In Command and Captain Billy Yudha Firmansyah as copilot flew NC212i from Husein Sastranegara Airport, Bandung to Hang Nadim Airport, Batam, and continued to Nakhon Sawan Air Base, Muang, Nakhon Sawan, Thailand, as the final destination.
PT DI Adi Prastowo, Corporate Communications & Promotion Manager, said the NC212i will make a final acceptance by MOAC Thailand on November 12, 2019.
The aircraft can be used as passenger transport, VIP, cargo, rain making, troop / paratroop transport, and medical evacuation which can be installed alternately according to the operational needs of MOAC Thailand.
"The NC212i aircraft has been fully worked on by PT DI. It means that PT DI is the only aircraft industry in the world currently producing NC212i aircraft, "he said, Sunday, November 10, 2019.
Increased production
PT DI, to date, has delivered aircraft and helicopters, both domestically and abroad, totaling 445 units.
PT DI manufactures 115 NC212 aircraft for domestic and foreign needs, out of a total of 586 NC212 series aircraft population populations in the world.
Domestic operators using NC212 series aircraft are the Indonesian Air Force, the Army, the Navy, the Police, and BPPT.
The NC212 series aircraft is used for civil, military and Maritime Surveillance Aircraft (MSA) transportation needs.
The overseas operator is Thailand for military transport and weather modification, in the Philippines and Vietnam for military transport aircraft.
The need for the NC212i world for the next 10 years is 255 units. PT DI's expansion plans are to the Asia Pacific and Africa.
PT DI starting next year will increase the production capacity of NC212i aircraft, which were originally 4 aircraft per year to 6 aircraft per year. This was done to meet the NC212i target for 10 years.
The NC212i is the latest generation multipurpose aircraft from NC212 with a capacity of 28 passengers, has a ramp door, spacious cabin in its class, a more modern navigation and communication system, lower operating costs, but remains competitive in the small aircraft market. ***
